My husband and two teenagers just stayed at this house. The location could not have been better. Walking distance to everything-shops, restaurants, train station... This house has been beautifully renovated from top to bottom. Will definitely be going back!

This Victorian terrace cottage in the heart of Shakespeare's Stratford Upon Avon dates back to 1877, and has retained many of its original features including wooden panel doors, and sash windows, but is light, deceptively spacious, and offers comfortable modern living.
It is beautifully decorated in neutral tones with a good mix of old and new, and has its own private courtyard garden, perfect for summer evenings or having a BBQ after a busy day of sightseeing around Stratford Upon Avon.
This self-catering holiday cottage comprises two bedrooms, one with a king size bed, and the second with two single beds (all have orthopedic memory foam mattresses which are brand new). There is the option of a spring roll away fifth bed.
There is a brand-new luxury Hotel style bathroom with contemporary free-standing bath and wall hung sink both with waterfall taps and a large separate shower. The bathroom has a heated towel radiator and huge wall mirror with vanity shelf below for all your toiletries.
The kitchen and utility rooms are modern, fitted with new appliances, and outside there is a courtyard garden which is perfect for alfresco dining in the summer if you so wish (a charcoal BBQ is also there for your use). The Lounge comfortably seats five people and has a flat screen TV with free view and Netflix for a cosy night in and there is a free standing tall boy with a selection of reading material and games. The large dining table seats six persons and has a bookshelf with reading material.
Our holiday cottage is equipped with a Dolce Gusto coffee machine as well as tea, sugar and milk. In the bathroom you will find fresh towels and a welcome pack of Kinu Hotel style toiletries, which will restore natural beauty to the body and soul after a day on the go.
We have a travel cot, highchair, portable stair gate, and bed guard available if requested prior to stay. Please note our holiday cottage is strictly non smoking. We will consider one small well behaved dog (charges may apply).
We found the accommodation very conveniently for those using public transport, as both the Railway and Bus Station are a short walk away. For those arriving by car, parking was very convenient. As for those wanting access to the nightlife, Stratford theatre & restaurants are just a short walk. For anyone wanting to shop either in the centre or 'out of town' I would be tempted to walk, with both the town centre and the Maybird shopping Centre just a few minutes walk. With regards to the property, we chose to eat out, but could have easily cooked, as there are a wide choice of supermarkets, with Waitrose, Sainsbury's and Tesco all in town. The property, including the kitchen and bathroom, are presented to a very high standard both inside and out, the accommodating owner (Claire) did tell us that it had been recently refurbished.

You will certainly have plenty to do and see in Stratford Upon Avon and the surrounding areas
Claire is a very warm and helpful host. She provided personal attention and swift response to the issues encountered ( e.g. We had some troubles operating the heating, which is minor, and was quickly resolved, when Claire came by to help). Claire also provided helpful suggestions for what to do during our short stay. In sum, the unit is a lovely place in a great location, for visit to some of the best of Cotswold district (e.g. High Street at Broadway is about 25 minutes drive), Warwick Castle, and of course Shakespeare's birth place. Many good eateries around the place too, which Claire has listed in a file provided in the house. Free parking near the place was useful for people who drove to this unit. Will recommend this place to friends with similar itineraries in mind.
